About This Activity

This interactive sorting activity helps students learn about the various effects of flooding. Students drag and drop effects into three categories:

• Social Effects: Impacts on people, communities, and society
• Environmental Effects: Impacts on nature, habitats, and ecosystems
• Economic Effects: Impacts on finances, infrastructure, and business

Students earn points for correct placements and receive explanations for why each effect belongs in its category.
