Dillon stood with his head down. His father had come out of the house and was standing in front of him holding the ball. He was pointing at the pieces of glass on the ground. "You are going to have to pay for it this time," he said.

If you lifted the roof off, you could see the bedrooms and the bathroom on the top floor. You could put the tiny pieces of furniture where you wanted them to be.

"You can't bring that on here, boy!" said the bus driver looking at the squirming piglet in Wade's arms. Wade looked as though he would burst into tears.

"I don't want to go far. Just to my Grandad's place," he managed to say.

"Sorry, son. People only."

The door was closed and the bus moved off.

He really wanted to show his grandfather the piglet. Its mother had died soon after the piglets were born ·and Grand ad had allowed Wade to look after this one. He'd followed all the instructions and listened to all the advice that he'd been given. Now he had a plump, healthy piglet.

As Wade stood at the bus stop he had an idea. He rushed home and returned in time for the next bus to arrive.

He climbed on board, and carefully made his way past the driver. He was thankful that there were only two passengers on this trip, both sitting at the front. Wade sat at the back of the bus holding his school bag carefully on his knee. He hoped the piglet would remain asleep for the journey.
